Appendix 1
There are two cable TV formats:
| ■Pass-through type |
This is the type in which the cable TV signals are transmitted directly.
You can receive digital terrestrial broadcasts by means of a television set with digital terrestrial reception capability, an external digital tuner or a recorder containing a built-in digital tuner. |
| ■Trans-modulation |
The trans-modulation system converts signals received by TV cable into a suitable format for cable TV.
You need a cable TV STB (Set Top Box) to use this system. |
